The official site for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. A portion of the site is devoted to the Historical Society and includes the mission statement, a list of activities and goals for the society, and a complete reprinting of all The Court Legacy newsletters. Soon the Historical Society will be adding new sections to include in depth biographical information about the judges and oral history excerpts, detailed information about significant cases that have been decided by the court and architectural history information about the various courthouses that have housed the court.

The official site of the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. The intranet portion of the site contains extensive biographical information about all the judges who have served on the 6th Circuit and all the judges who have served in District Courts within the 6th Circuit

Official site of the United States Supreme Court Historical Society. It contains a list of significant oral arguments, articles published in its journal, a list of events and related events, a gift catalogue, a schedule of C-SPAN broadcasts and audio versions of past lectures.

Federal Judicial Center – http://www.fjc.gov

The Federal Judicial Center is the research and education agency of the federal judicial system. It was established by Congress in 1967 on the recommendation of the Judicial Conference of the United States. Its duties and responsibilities are established by statute. 28 U.S.C §§ 620-690. A portion of the site is devoted to the history of the federal judiciary. Included are biographies about all the judges who have ever served on a federal court, historical information about the various federal courts, landmark judicial legislation, selected topics in judicial history and a historic courthouse photograph exhibit.

Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society – http://www.micourthistory.org

The official site of the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society which collects and preserves historical materials related to the courts of Michigan and promotes the study of the history of Michigan courts.

An official site of the Library of Congress. Includes early congressional documents, the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, and the Constitution of the United States. Searches of the documents is allowed by word or phrase. Additionally, links to other historic documents such as the Thomas Jefferson Papers from the Manuscript Division at the Library of Congress are included.
